‘Connecting Scents’ is the overarching title of this olfactory art exhibition, referring to the deep, often unconscious connection of scents with our sense of self, our connection to others, and our spiritual experiences. In both the first part of the exhibition, ‘Buckwheat and Silk’, and the second part, ‘New Tribal Scents’, visitors are invited to go beyond the superficial experience of perfume and explore the deeper layers of meaning and memory associated with scent.
Scent can serve as a powerful carrier of both personal and collective history, connecting us to cultural identities and spiritual traditions that sometimes span generations.
