Project Summary
As part of this artist residency, I am contributing to the research project Existential Challenges of Planetary Health (ECoPH).
In this inspiring project, led by Professor Hans Alma Professor of Spiritual Care at the VU Faculty of Religion and Theology, and Pim Martens, Professor of Planetary Health and Dean of Maastricht University College Venlo, we explore how we can rethink and reshape our relationship with the Earth.
The project brings together PhD researchers Renée Robbers, Stephan Huijboom, and Evanne Nowak, postdoctoral researcher Lisa Doeland, external PhD researcher Kelly Keasberry, and fellow artist Gijs Assmann, alongside the project’s academic leads.
We began the project in November 2024, and it is expected to run for five years.

My artistic research focuses on how, inspired by the wisdom of plants and animals, we can create a shift in consciousness that leads to love for the Earth and all its life.
